What good news?

Everyone loves good news and as Christains we believe the best news anyone has ever received is that God loves them and wants to bless them in His love.

More specifically we believe that whoever by faith receives the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior becomes a child of God. That's right its that simple. This salvation is a free gift of God’s abundant grace; not the result of any human effort or merit.

The Scripture says that our sin hurts us, as well as others, and separates us from God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

However, God loves us and sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins.

God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and He was buried, and … He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15: 3b-4).

As a result each one of us can begin a personal relationship with God by trusting Jesus Christ to take away our sins and open up to us unhindered fellowship with Him.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name (John 1:12).

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame, for there is no distinction … everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:10-13)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Would you like to receive this free gift from God?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16).

This is eternal life that one may know you, the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent!(John 17:3).

To believe in Christ is to completely entrust ourself to Him and rely on Him to remove our sin and make us right with God. , Jesus the Christ. You can only be saved by trusting in Him! There are no works or magic words or mystical rites which can do the job only one certain way and one name under heaven supplied by which men can and must be saved.

Do you believe in Christ like this? If the answer is yes, then you have experienced His grace and have become a new creation in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). Prayer can be a great way to express your new found faith to God. Think of your prayer as taking God at His word in trust and simply saying thank you to Him for His amazing gift.

Here is an example of what your heartfelt prayer might sound like:

“Dear God, because of my sin, I know I have rebelled against you and could never earn your favor or be good enough to earn entrance into heaven, but you have graciously shown me Jesus died in my place and that if I'll simply trust you for salvation through Him it is mine to have along with an amazing and unending relationship with you, the one true God and the Lord of life. Thank you for allowing me to hear this good news. I trust in Jesus to remove my sin and make me right with you and I accept your invitation to become your child and get to know you. Thank you, for this amazing gift. Amen. "

Be encouraged that you have entered into a permanent relationship with God. In the Bible Jesus says, “He who hears my word and believes Him who sent ME has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24).
